Inter-Disciplinary, Inquiry-Based Learning
A model for developing new courses for new students using the work-focussed approach to learning.
The IDIBL Framework describes a pedagogical approach for students in full-time work who are unable to take advantage of face-to-face provision. The model developed enables learners to study at a time and place convenient to them, delivered and supported wholly online. This requires students to undertake projects for improvement for the benefit of their workplace and to gain academic credit from the scholarly practices used to inform and evaluate their activities.
The model includes a set of modules from HE level 4-7 that describe the procedure for work-focussed learning.
