Inter-Disciplinary, Inquiry-Based Learning
A project developing new courses for new students at the University of Bolton
There are three initiatives now ongoing at Bolton to employ the IDIBL approach:
- A Masters in Learning with Technology organised by Institute for Educational Cybernetics - to see how we introduce it, look at the Induction Blog
- Masters / Bachelors / Foundation and CPD - in Regeneration and Sustainable Communities organised by the School of the Built Environment and Engineering
- A Management of Administration for Education and Training Foundation Degree from the School of Arts, Media and Education
Each initiative has drawn on the framework below, which was developed as an agile approach to course validation for programmes that are work-focused and use inquiry-based approaches to learning. Read the academic rationale for a full explanation and see the validation presentation.
