The modules below were developed as an agile approach to course validation for programmes that are work-focused and use inquiry-based approaches to learning. The IDIBL project set out in 2007 to create new opportunities for accessing higher education, intending to make learning & teaching more fulfilling & delightful, looking to widen participation in higher education and promote life-long learning, making learning meaningful in people's lives.
The project was based in the Institute for Educational Cybernetics (IEC) at the University of Bolton to research, develop and model new approaches to inquiry based learning in the workplace.
It followed the successful Ultraversity project developed in Ultralab at Anglia Ruskin University
and was more broadly embedded in the University of Bolton by the Jisc funded Coeducate project.
