Ultraversity

The Ultraversity project was invented by Ultralab at Anglia Ruskin University in 2003 as a large-scale action research project. Its aim was to create a degree for those for whom university did not fit. The first cohorts in 2002 and 2003 graduated over 150 students almost half with first-class honours. The degree title started as BA Learning Technology Research, and is still being offered at Anglia Ruskin University.

Document Actions

The IDIBL project set out in 2007 to create new opportunities for accessing higher education, intending to make learning & teaching more fulfilling & delightful, looking to widen participation in higher education and promote life-long learning, making learning meaningful in people's lives.

The project was based in the Institute for Educational Cybernetics (IEC) at the University of Bolton to research, develop and model new approaches to inquiry based learning in the workplace.

It followed the successful Ultraversity project developed in Ultralab at Anglia Ruskin University

and was more broadly embedded in the University of Bolton by the Jisc funded Coeducate project.
